We offer a variety of different Adult Dance Classes at Prelude Dance Centre. To cater for those that want to work towards mastering a style of dance we offer Ballet or Tap classes. These classes cater for Beginner to Intermediate ability. For those after an energetic dance class to get them on their way to their fitness goals we run our Dance Fitness classes.
Adult Beginner Tap – Monday 7-8pm
Due to popular demand we have introduced an Adult Tap class. This class will begin at a beginner level for those that have never learned Tap or have had a big break from Tap, however all ability levels are welcome to come along and join us. Spend an hour of your week with us creating great rhythms with your feet, toning your legs and trying out your new Tap moves in dances.
Adult Ballet – Thursday 6:30-7:30pm
Join us each week as we plie, tendu and releve our way through our Ballet class. Develop great posture and learn the grace and technique of Ballet at your pace. Adult Ballet classes are suitable for those who have had little or no experience with Ballet or would like to get back into it after many years break. Exercises are taught with an option to make them more challenging for those with more experience.
Dance Fitness – Tuesday’s 7-8pm and Thursday’s 7:30-8:30pm
Dance Fitness classes are specifically created to improve your fitness, tone and co-ordination. Incorporating movements from Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Pilates techniques these classes provide you with an opportunity to Dance your way to your fitness goals. Classes are structured so you can work at your own ability level and push yourself as hard as you want in order to achieve the level of fitness you aim for.
Adult classes run throughout the entire year with a modified timetable run through the December/ January period reflecting expected class numbers.
